Minecraft: Making a Minecraft House
One of the first things you need to do is make a shelter in Minecraft. You don't always need to hollow out the side of a mountain,you can make a house from scratch. As you can see I am upgrading my wood house, and this world is different from my old one. Minecraft deleted it. There are so many different types of houses you can make, this time I went with a normal two story house.

Some important discoveries about the planet came from scientists at Alexandria. For example, Eratosthenes found a way to estimate the circumference of the Earth. His estimate was between 28,000-29,000 miles. In reality, the Earth's circumference is 24,901.5 miles. Another man named Aristarchus studied how the sun, moon, and Earth were similar to each other. He estimated that the sun was 300 times the size of the Earth, while it was really 1.3 million times the size of Earth.
Lastly, the scientist Ptolemy's view of the Solar System was different from what we have now. He viewed the Earth to be at the Center of the solar system, with all the other planets circling it. He was wrong. It was really the sun at the center of the Solar System.

Minecraft: Making a Fire Place
Thing about a fireplace in your house. It makes any living space cozy and comfortable, gives a great source of light and is just fun. These are some of the reasons why many Minecraft gamers have put in a fireplace. Not only does it serve as protection from monsters (they don't spawn in an well-lit area) but it also can be used as a trash can.
Things you need
Pick Axe (stone,diamond,gold,iron) NOT WOOD
Bricks
Flint and steel
3 blocks of Netherrack
Half-Steps, NOT WOOD
A portal to the Nether

You want to make sure you house is NOT made out of wool, or wood. These things can easily lite on fire. This is why we didn't want to use wood half steps to make our fireplace.
First take you pick and use you portal to enter the Underworld. Take three pieces of Netherrack from there.
Teleport back to the regular Minecraft world. NOW WATCH THIS VIDEO:

Utopia
Utopia means any visionary system of political or social perfection. When I say the word Utopia, three things come to mind, peaceful, free, and clean.
A perfect society has perfect people, and that is what makes a perfect society. A society needs peace for people to live without any problems. As one of my friends put it "we need world peace because people around the world are constantly causing wars, fighting with each other, or causing any type of violence." This is of utmost importance. Most of the world’s people do not want to live in a place filled with crime, terrorism, and fatalities. Sadly, in a dystopia this is part of everyday life.
Having to live in a place where your “two-sense” doesn’t count is not fair. You should get to place your opinion in anything you need to. Voting is a perfect example. If you don’t get to vote then you might have a very unlikable person. It would be like a dictatorship, and this is what happens in some countries around the world.
The utmost thing of a Utopia is a clean society. Nobody likes a place filled with a sense of pollution. And this is why we can consider our world a dystopia. A dystopia is a bad place to live in.

Minecraft: How to Survive Your First Night
Hi everybody! This tutorial on Minecraft is how to survive your first night. You will need wood,stone and a lot of patience. My Videos are not being accepted by You Tube, so I had to use someone else's.
On your first day you must create a structure good enough to battle a army of monsters. You will need to craft torches, picks, axes, and other handy tools to help you on you journey to reach you goal, diamonds. These is a cheap way to get diamonds, which I will show you next time! Hopefully it will be my video. I really enjoy Minecraft, and I know you will to.

A doggy Friend?
Several studies show that dogs can motivate their owners to be more active. How? The owners have to take their dog for walks regularly. The same study shows that older people are more likely to take walks with dogs rather than a person. As one researcher put it, “You need to walk, and so does your dog,” said Rebecca A. Johnson, director of the human-animal interaction research center at the University Of Missouri College Of Veterinary Medicine. “It’s good for both ends of the leash.”
A study last year from the University of Missouri showed that for getting exercise, dogs are better walking companions than humans. In a 12-week study of 54 older adults at an assisted-living home, some people selected a friend or spouse as a walking companion, while others took a bus daily to a local animal shelter, where they were assigned a dog to walk.
And the question remains whether owning a dog encourages regular activity or whether active, healthy people are simply more likely to acquire dogs as walking companions.

Clouds=Water?
The fact that the wispy clouds we see in the sky are really just tiny beads of water vapor can be hard to believe. The idea behind the formation of clouds in the sky is the same idea behind the way steam rises from a Locomotive or the way you can see your breathe on a cold day.Water begins on the surface of the Earth in the form of liquid. The Sun heats the surface of the Earth when the temperature rises, water turns from a liquid to a gas through a process called "evaporation." We call water in the form of gas "steam" or "water vapor."
Because hot air rises, it carries the water vapor with it. The water vapor goes high up into the sky so far up that the air grows cold. When the water vapor grows cold in the high atmosphere, a process known as "condensation" occurs. In this process, water changes back into a liquid. Because little particles of dust are constantly floating in the sky this newly formed liquid water sticks to these tiny particles of dust. This process causes those big, billowy clouds in the sky.
When enough of this liquid water sticks to enough of these dust particles, clouds become filled to the brink with moisture. When this happens, it rains. That's how fluffy, white clouds can grow to dark, stormy clouds. If this process happens rapidly, big charges of static electricity build up in the clouds—just like when you drag your feet in socks across the carpet. The electricity stays inside the clouds and forms thunderstorms. That's why thunderstorms are so violent because that energy, in the form of water expanding and shrinking quickly, is released all at the same time.
This process may seem simple, but think about how it can happen over a wide area. Because clouds form over the surface of the entire planet, some clouds can be tens of thousands of feet high and hundreds of miles across. Some clouds could be the size of a large city! In Australia, there's even a type of cloud called a Morning Glory, a single cloud can be up to 1,000 kilometers long!

Stop Motion Animation
Have you ever heard of stop motion? Stop motion is when you take an object, take a picture of it, and then move it just a little bit, then take another picture.
Stop Motion is seen a lot across the internet and on YouTube. Have you ever heard of Pingu? It is a children’s TV show, and is made using stop motion. Here is an example of a stop motion movie:
Now let’s look at part of that movie frame by frame.
Can you see how little each frame increases? Here is our next Blog Contest. Make a Stop Motion Movie. It doesn’t have to be too long either. But minimum is 30 seconds. The deadline is March 2nd. GOOD LUCK! Must have an imagination to enter.

YouTube Game
YouTube is great for watching videos, but do you know that you can also play Snake? Snake is a game where you have a line that is controlled by arrows on the keyboard. There are little dots that you must go around and eat. After you eat a ball you grow bigger, but it you slam into a wall, or eat yourself you die.

New Year Resolutions (Part 2)
These are my goals for the New Year 2011. Some of them may seem funny, and others nerdy, but they all have there own reasons. I have 12 goals, one for each month, but it would really hard to do some of these in one month, so they might go on.
7. Learn a lot about the computer
This year I am very interested in the computer and learning the parts would be fun.
8. Learn C++
A computer programing language that allows you to create many things
9. Listen to my parents
Life will be a whole lot easier because I have to live with them until I am 18
10. Be Able to Run Faster
No particular reason, I have just wanted to accomplish this for a few years
11. Play Guitar More
How else will I get faster and bring a "wow" affect?
12. Achieve all my goals

Cellphones...in prisons?
Cellphones are banned in prisons and are, even though not allowed, very useful to prisoners. A cellphone might not be much, but smartphones have changed the game. Most prisoners have a Facebook, and play games like "FarmVille". Gang violence and drug movement are increasingly being followed online, allowing inmates to keep up criminal behavior even as they serve time.
So now criminals are open up to more then just Facebook, its a way to communicate between the criminals. In 2009, gang members in a Maryland prison were caught using their phones to order seafood and cigars. This could turn into something bad, but the guards are trying to cap them. It is a nice way to spend your three-year-sentence, huh?

New Year Resolutions
These are my goals for the year 2011. Some of them may seem funny, and some may be downright nerdy, but they all have their own reasons. Okay here is a nerdy one. I want to achieve this because I want to get better at the game, and also win more often than not in multi player.

If I learn how to hack I can have a deep knowledge of computer such as securities and games. I don't want to use hacking for wrong purposes, like some hackers do. I was inspired by a group of hackers who hack systems to expose the loop holes so that they can be fixed by the companies. They are like superhero hackers, and named themselves the Blackhat group
4. Get Good NJASK Scores
If I manage to rack up high scores then I can get my very own MacBook Air! That would be awesome...and is my motivation.
5. Blog Once a Week
I want to entertain you guys much more then now so I plan to have 52+ posts by the end of the year. Thanks to Mr.Poole, my teacher, who got me started blogging in school, and boy I am hooked. I hope to continue on this and become an avid blogger.
6. Do All my Homework
At my school we get a grade for just doing our homework! I think it would be great if I just do my homework, not only will it help me get better grades, but also help me study what I did in class.

Gifts For Giving
We all run like little five year olds, no matter the age, to our Christmas Trees on Christmas morning. Being five days away from Christmas is building up anticipation. The gifts that we get are great, not because it is what we wanted, but simply because it is from a loved one.Some Children are not fortunate enough to have the same gifts. You probably hear this all the time, and you see the toy drives, but do you help? Do you actually give something in those toy drives, or do you just watch? Since we can afford gifts, we should help others. The Toy Drive this year may have past, but that doesn't mean you can't Donate next year. I bet you that children will love the fact that they are still getting presents.

On the top of my blog, is a link bar. This is not a template, but simply involves some dragging. Go to design, add a gadget, add the Pages gadget, and drag it to the top. Now your link bar is ready.
To make a page you must go to Posting. Right next to edit posts is edit pages. Click on that, and click New Page. The title of that page will be the title of the Page in the link bar. You can type things in or edit the HTML.
You can do many things using HTML. If you want to add a game go to: http://www.addictinggames.com/gotd/games_for_your_site.html . On the bottom of each game will be embed, highlight that, copy, paste it on your page. Than go to preview. If the game window comes out of the page area then you need to fix it. This part is a little tricky.
Refer to the highlighted part in image 2. Your width should always be 525px and height should be 480px. When you backspace the numbers, do not backspace px. It will ruin your page.

The Last Book In The Universe...

I feel that the book explains the Characters, and that everybody has at least one character to relate to. It would be great if that there was a book two, it would helped explain more (In my opinion). The book ends abruptly. I think the writer was good at conveying the feelings of the characters. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Sci-Fi or futuristic books! I hope you read it...
