Gifts For Giving

We all run like little five year olds, no matter the age, to our Christmas Trees on Christmas morning. Being five days away from Christmas is building up anticipation. The gifts that we get are great, not because it is what we wanted, but simply because it is from a loved one.

Some Children are not fortunate enough to have the same gifts. You probably hear this all the time, and you see the toy drives, but do you help? Do you actually give something in those toy drives, or do you just watch? Since we can afford gifts, we should help others. The Toy Drive this year may have past, but that doesn't mean you can't Donate next year. I bet you that children will love the fact that they are still getting presents.

How to Blogger...

Want to make your blog more entertaining? Then check out these tips to improve your blog.

Image 1

On the top of my blog, is a link bar. This is not a template, but simply involves some dragging. Go to design, add a gadget, add the Pages gadget, and drag it to the top. Now your link bar is ready.

To make a page you must go to Posting. Right next to edit posts is edit pages. Click on that, and click New Page. The title of that page will be the title of the Page in the link bar. You can type things in or edit the HTML.

You can do many things using HTML. If you want to add a game go to:  http://www.addictinggames.com/gotd/games_for_your_site.html . On the bottom of each game will be embed, highlight that, copy, paste it on your page. Than go to preview. If the game window comes out of the page area then you need to fix it. This part is a little tricky.

Refer to the highlighted part in image 2. Your width should always be 525px and height should be 480px. When you backspace the numbers, do not backspace px. It will ruin your page.

Adding a YouTube video is easier, go to  YouTube, find the video you want and click embed. Scroll down a little. You can choose the color, and always pick the hight as the smallest one. Refer to image 3. Now copy the HTML code that comes up, and paste it!

I hope this post helped you. Any other questions? Put it in the form of a comment!

The Last Book In The Universe...

The Last Book Cover
The Last Book In The Universe is about a 16-year-old boy, named Spaz, who lives in the harsh future, The place where he lives is called the Urb, which is separated into several "latches". The area is filled with Wars, poverty, and mind probes, a drug for people to visit a different world from their's. In the middle of all these places is Eden, where the "Perfect Proovs" live. Spaz is tasked with going to rip off an old man named Ryter. Ryter and Spaz's relationship grows more increasingly throughout the book. Spaz soon learns that his sister, Bean is in a critical condition. He goes to visit her, and there makes more friend, who help him get Bean to Eden, and save his sister.                                                          For a more in depth summary click here

I feel that the book explains the Characters, and that everybody has at least one character to relate to. It would be great if that there was a book two, it would helped explain more (In my opinion). The book ends abruptly. I think the writer was good at conveying the feelings of the characters. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Sci-Fi or futuristic books! I hope you read it...

Christmas Traditions

My family has many traditions that we do around Christmas. I like all of these traditions because they are usually really fun.  A few weeks before Christmas we all help in setting up the Christmas tree. My Mom and I set up the Christmas tree, my dad lights it, and then my Mom, sister and I all put up the ornaments. Then my dad comes back and he takes pictures of the Tree. Then, a week before Christmas Eve my sister makes me help her write letters to Santa, and write one myself. And then the countdown begins. On the weekend before Christmas Eve we go to Rockefeller Center to see the Christmas tree they have there. Then comes Christmas Eve…
On Christmas Eve my sister decorates the house with her home-made decorations (the best kind).  Afterwards, my family gathers to watch movies and bake cookies. We usually invite my Aunt Prabha, and her whole family. Then we bake cookies and set them out for Santa Claus. Then my sister and I set up a tent in my room and go to sleep. We wake up the next morning and open our presents, which we get to play with all day! I enjoy Christmas… a lot!

I hope you get what you want for Christmas...
